Our Story
How We Met
As most everyone knows, we met in Tijuana, in a nightclub named Los Equipales. Sergio kept on
cruising me so I went up to him and asked him if he wanted to dance. Of course he did and the rest is
history! That was over 15 years ago. - Richard

Getting to Know Each Other
With Sergio living in Tijuana and Richard in Palm Springs it
was a long distance relationship with 2.5 hours driving time
between them. Richard soon got a weekend apartment in
TJ on Avenida Constitución and from there they grew to
know each other better.
In 1997 an opportunity arose to write "Ferrari's Guide to Gay
Mexico" so Sergio and Richard began a three (3) month
long trip throughout most of Mexico driving in their motor
home; they drove all the way to Belize and Cancun and back
hitting both coasts, the Pacific and the Gulf of Mexico and
the Carribbean. The book is currently being rewritten and is
available on the web at www.gaymex.info. It was as they
say, "a trip of a lifetime, a trip we'll remember when we're
sitting in our rocking chairs together".
